Apple Launches M5 Pro and Max MacBook Pros and New Monitors After Years

New MacBook Pros with M5 Pro and M5 Max Chips

Apple has updated its MacBook Pro lineup with the introduction of the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, following the release of the M5 chip for the low-end MacBook Pro in October. The higher-end 14-inch and 16-inch models now feature these new chips, along with increased base storage capacities. The M5 Pro now comes with 1TB of storage by default, while the M5 Max starts with 2TB of storage. Apple claims that the internal storage is up to 2x faster than the previous generation.

Along with the chip upgrades, Apple has also increased the starting prices for these models. The 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M5 Pro chip now starts at $2,199, up from $1,999, and the 16-inch model with an M5 Pro chip starts at $2,699, up from $2,499. The M5 MacBook Pro now starts at $1,699, up from $1,599. Despite the price hikes, users are getting double the storage compared to the previous base models.
