Apple Adds Three Products to Vintage and Obsolete Lists
Apple has updated its product status listings, adding three more devices to the vintage and obsolete categories. The MacBook Air (13-inch, 2017) is now listed as ‘vintage,’ while all iPad mini 4 and Apple TV (32GB) configurations have been moved to the ‘obsolete’ category.
Details of the New Listings
The MacBook Air (13-inch, 2017) was released in 2017 and is now considered vintage by Apple. This means that it will only be eligible for repairs at Apple Stores or authorized service providers if parts are still available.

Differences Between Vintage and Obsolete
A product is classified as ‘vintage’ if it has not been sold by Apple for more than five years. In contrast, a device becomes ‘obsolete’ when it hasn’t been available from the company for over seven years.
